Following on the success of our own recent referee candidates, the league is keen to attract an increased number of young people to the role. If you are aged sixteen or over and are interested in earning some great weekend pocket money, do let Noel know as soon as you can. See the August 14, 2008 news item on the front page of the site for all details.
If you have any feed back for the league, particularly on any of the items below (fixtures, postponements, referees - new and old, courses, promising players etc.), please do not hesitate to get in touch by 'phone or email at any time. If I can't respond immediately, do leave a full message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

If a club has more than twelve players in their small-sided team squads (U-7, 8, 9 and 10), the league will consider a request for additional teams, made up of these surplus players. This request must be made before the end of February. The idea is to give players as many matches as possible.
Cancellations will not be given except for communion, confirmations and school trips (a school letter is required). Do check all such dates with your teams.
The 2010 Easter break is the only general break that will be allowed - April 3/4 only.
If you're interested in playing some games during breaks/on Bank Holidays etc., these can be arranged.
Racial abuse or abuse of referees cannot be tolerated.
The league may reverse fixtures in order to clear backlogs (i.e. home team will have to play away if clubs don't have enough pitches).
Let Noel know if any player scores a hat-trick so that he'll obtain the league certificates to mark these feats.
The league is planning to set up an archive, so let Noel know if you have any old relevant photos or articles that you'd like to contribute.
All players should have unique numbers on their jerseys.
If a player gets a red card - straight red or two yellows - in a match, he must miss the next competitive game at a minimum and, in addition, the league may decide to fine the player and suspend him/her for further games.
Managers and team mentors must make efforts to control unruly parents and other spectators at games. The league is seeing many problems in this area, even at U-7.
Be sure to secure goalposts and check for dog dirt, sharp items and glass on the pitch before the first game of the day.
Parking is very difficult at Granada, Hollypark and Bushy Park. Vehicles are being clamped for illegal parking. So be careful.
The FAI has anti-racism information and materials available to assist clubs where this is necessary.
